This is a signed vintage 1950 oil painting on wood of a harbor scene at Aci Castello in Sicily, Italy.
The frame measures 19 3/4 inches high x 30 inches wide (50.1 cm x 76.2 cm). The painting measures 16 1/2 inches high x 27 inches wide (41.9 cm x 68.6 elevators). The back opening size of the frame measures 16 3/4 inches x 27 inches (42.5 cm x 68.6 cm). The molding width of the frame measures 1 5/8 inches (4.1 cm ).

The colors in the painting are rich and vibrant. You can actually feel the artist enjoying themself as they painted this. It has a wonderful feeling about it!
There are a few small scattered flakes of the paint. I believe the painting might need to be cleaned, as there are a few areas where I believe it is darker than it should be. There is scattered crackling to the painted finish, most notably in the sky.
The frame is a burled veneer, possibly olive wood. It is attached with lap joints. It has wear, mostly going around the outer edges. There is a small old dab of paint in the top right corner. Personally, I think it all just tends to blend in as it is such a beautiful frame.
It weighs 3 lbs. 2 oz. (1.416 kg).
