In very well-pres overall antique cond, considering it's now nearly, if not, 125-155 yrs old. It has extraordinarily bright, well-pres surfaces & almost saturated, vivid, bright & nearly undiminished orig oil paint. These Latin American & usually Mexican antique retablo paintings on tin, were fairly omnipresent in 19th c Mexico, w/them often being displayed in family shrines inside the home. Of course, the influence of Christianity & its symbolism, as brought by the Spaniards to Latin American & easily recognizable Catholic graphic iconography in particular, are evident. A simply fantastic antique retablo on tin.
