Description

I'm selling this painting for a friend of mine named Virginia Engler. Mrs. Engler is the wife of the late Pete Engler of Branson, Missouri who was an acclaimed woodcarver. This painting is from her collection.
Junior Cobb was a true hillbilly and great artist of the Ozarks that lived in Three Brothers, Arkansas. His notoriety came from his wood carvings where some of them have been displayed in the Smithsonian and the White house. In fact, Junior was invited to the White House and claimed that he carved his name on one of the desks there. His works have been reported in many national newspapers and magazines. What many people don't know is that Junior was also a painter and this is one of those paintings.
Win this bid and you'll get a wonderful piece of history created by a national treasure.
