    ORIGINAL SIGNED WILLIAM GEORGE WHITTINGTON WATERCOLOR PAINTING MARITIME SCENE, framed in a beautiful antique frame from a print shop in CT, as shown on the back, is in exceptionally nice condition for a piece of art this age and the colors, perhaps a sunrise or sunset scene are bright on this watercolor, making it a particularly desirable piece by this artist. I bought this one several years back at an estate sale in Charleston SC and the seller did not know the title of the piece when they submitted it for auction apparently. The lovely old carved frame with four carved leaves is in nice shape as well, with some minor signs of use as one would expect but still quite a stunning way to display this beautiful signed work by William George Whittington. Please do note the unique Whittington signature that incorporates the W and G, his first two initials. into the top of the W in Whittington. I will be sure this art is fully insured, extremely well packed and boxed for shipping.
