up for auction is an original oil on canvas painting by Russian artist Konstantin Konstantinovich Kuznetsov 1895-1980. He attended The Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow and then moved to Paris, France where he continued his studies. His exhibitions in Paris, Rome, Vienna, San Francisco & New York have brought him recognition & success. His paintings have sold in many galleries & auction houses throughout the U.S. commanding as much as ,000 with average estimates between 00 & 00. This offering is a western scene as were many of his other paintings. The image size is 17 1/2"x 23 1/2" & overall 28"x34". The frame is wood & plaster gilt. Some minor plaster chips are present. It has been confirmed by galleries & auction houses that the artist used artistic license to sign his paintings as Kusnezov. A Google search will readily confirm this as well. Although the painting comes with a COA & was purchased at auction the auction house cannot be identified. The painting is untitled. Research will show that Kusnezov had a fondness for horses & the western outdoors. The COA shows signs of age & is extremely brittle.
