Important double sided miniature portrait painting of a woman wearing a bonnet. It is set in a solid gold mourning frame decorated with a nicely painted watercolor memorial. We believe it is possibly American.

Late 18th Century
Size -
What can be seen of the painting itself measures approximately 3 inches by 2 + 3/8 inches wide. The framing measures approximately 3 + 3/4 inches to the top of the bale by 2 + 1/2 inches.
