    Description

    This oil on artist board is 20” high by 16” wide and with the frame it is 23 ½” high by 18 ½” wide overall. Sturgeon uses a heavy application of paint in the foreground to show the depth of a winter scene with a log cabin in the distance. The back shows a mid-20th. century art company label from Pittsburgh PA with a pre-zip code address and pre-area code phone number. The canvass is in a good condition with no damage. There are a few faint lines in the light area above the mountain range (see photo). The older repurposed frame is in sturdy condition with small losses at the corners.
