Signed on the bottom left corner. Measures 12” by 16” and with the frame 15 1/4” by 19 1/4” . A beautiful colorful painting on canvas in a newer appropriate gallery plein air frame.
About the artist:
Don Langford (American, b. 1929) was born in a small town near Montgomery City, Missouri and moved to Los Angeles in 1952. He studied with Larry Kronquist (American, 20th Century), is a listed California plein air artist, and is a member of the California Art Club. Langford became a full time professional artist after spending most of his professional life in finance. His transition from finance to art is documented in his biography, “I’d Rather Be Painting: The Story of My Journey from Finance to Fine Art”. He is represented by galleries such as Lu Martin Galleries, Laguna Beach. His work often features trees in extensive landscapes in all seasons.
