Large antique oil painting, Wilhelmus Lammers,1857 - 1913, stable with chickens.

Description

Large antique
oil painting on canvas., +- 1890. There is some fine craquelure ,because of its old age.{This is not bothersome though}.
The painting shows a stal scene with a rooster and chickens. It is finished very finely with  beautiful colors.
The painting is signed, W.Lammers, { Wilhelmus Albertus Lammers, ( 1857 - 1917 ), Is famous Dutch painter, he painted primarily  stal and barn scenes, with fowl & small animals}.
Size of the canvas is, 12 x 19.7  inches.
The frame is org. with the painting also antique, and is still in good condition for its age, it is very nice.
Size of the outside of the frame is,  18.7 x 26.4 inches.

Wilhelm Albertus Lammers, ( 1857 - 1913 ), is a self taught artist specialised in scenes with poultry He painted these animals predominantly in their natural surroundings either in the stable or the meadows Until the end of the 19th Century very little attention attention was paid to the housing and care of fowl Chickens usually roosted in a haystack of in a tree This artist could depict these in lively form on the canvas.
Work by his hands hangs in the City Museum at Harderwijk.
