    Description

    Original painting by U.S. Naval Officer John Packard Graff, signed and dated 1929, showing a Northern coastal scene rendered in deep blues. Supremely atmospheric painting, beautifully composed. slightly reminiscent of Rockwell Kent. I gathered from the dealer who sold this to me that Graff was a world traveler and had also attended West Point. Oil measures 9” by 6”. Total dimensions, with gilt decorative frame with handpainted blue border, are 14.5” by 11.5”.
    This artwork continues to land on people's watch lists, and yet I'm flummoxed as to why no one has made an offer on it, especially considering that I have sold quite a lot of items through "make an offer."
