    Description

    Original autumn watercolor painting of Mt. Monadnock, NH in perfect condition. Professionally matted, framed under acrylic glazing with paper backing. Exterior measurements with frame 21 1/2 " H x 27 " W. Created by Henry Webster Rice, resident of the Fenway Studios in Boston and long time teacher at the Boston Art Club from 1906 to 1934 and frequent exhibitor at the BAC, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston , and the American Watercolor Society. He is associated with the artists of the White Mountains. His work is in the permanent collections of many American Art Museums. Signed in lower right corner of painting.  NOTE: As the painting was photographed through acrylic glazing the image provided shows some reflections, however the painting has no imperfections and appears to have been well taken care of through the years with little (if any) fading or toning. This Iconic painting of Mt. Monadnock in southern N.H. is one of the most climbed mountains in New England.
