Description

Up for auction is this moody, yet colorful oil on canvas classroom scene from Phoenix painter Hector Ruiz. Check out the close ups for his wonderful brushwork!
Painting measures 36" x 36" is unsigned, yet I have a personal connection with the artist.
I lived in Tempe, AZ in the mid 90s, and we were friends with Hector. This hung up in our college house, and it has been in my possession ever since. Hector was most active between 1998 - 2008. At the end of this post you'll see a listing of his gallery shows taken from Artnet.
This painting has never been framed. There is a slight bowing on the wood supports of the frame (I tried my best to capture it in a photo). Painting is otherwise in excellent shape with no rips or tears.
Will be packed up professionally and will ship for free via USPS.
