Atsushi Kikuchi, active as an artist in the 1940s, is known for his prolific cityscapes.  He studied art at the California College of Arts and Crafts.    Born just after the turn of the century, and spent his childhood in Japan.  After moving to San Francisco,  he received  a scholarship to study art and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his art career.  During World War II, he was confined in Japanese internment camps for a period of time and then was inducted into the United States Army.  After the war, he moved to Chicago.   He produced his art before and after the war.
