Antique original oil painting. Hunting scape with dogs. Signed E. Hatfield 1935.

Description

Beautiful antique hunting landscape painting with pointer dogs and hunter in the background and a temperamental stormy sky with seagulls whirling about; no structural damage but is in need of a professional cleaning to really bring out it's wonderful colors, though it's old world patina may also be desired.  There is some scraping to the carved wood frame (see last 2 photos for reference to the dirt and scrapes). The artist E. Hatfield signed this piece in 1935 and shows a wide palette of colors (as seen in his sky with purples and pinks) and used a semi - impasto texturing technique (see texture photo close-up), which of course is why some dirt has stuck in the paint and is age appropriate.  This handsome painting measures aprox. 31.5" in height and is 27" in width, framed.
