Antique 1800’s Alden Sampson Oil Painting NY Hudson River School Landscape PAIR

This is an antique pair of 1800’s Alden Sampson oil paintings (2) from a local estate. Each is signed “A. Sampson” lower right, well listed NY Hudson River School era landscape artist. Nice luminous sky with accomplished brushwork (see images). The canvas stretchers each measure 16”x20. The matching deep cove molding frames measure approximately 19 1/2” x 23 1/2”. They are in exactly as-found in unrestored estate condition with expected craquelure to surface from age, and several small punctures to one canvas (see images). It’s nice to have a matched pair, and they display pretty well overall as-found (would definitely benefit from professional cleaning). Not MINT, so being sold exactly as-found estate fresh condition for display or restoration as desired. Please ask any questions before bidding.
