4 Vintage Chinese Calligraphy Ink Sticks "The Eight Immortals" (八仙)

Description

Listed is a complete and brand new set of 4 plush Chinese calligraphy ink sticks. They are encased in an original cardboard box with a glass-mounted lid. Each ink stick is approximately 1.8" x 4.75" x 0.55" in dimension, and 105 - 108 grams in weight. Altogether, the 4 ink sticks feature the eight well-known ancient mythical immortals, with 2 painted on each stick (on two sides) in gold-and-silver color. These ink sticks have never been used, and are in excellent condition. The year of making is uncertain, but based on research, the manufacture, the name of which is painted on the lid, was first established in the early 1980s.
