Incredible original watercolor showing a Japanese scene with flower sellers in a boat and girls on the deck of a waterside bulding. One of the best watercolors of this type I've ever seen. The details are amazing from the figures and their clothing, to the architecture, the flowers and pine boughs, the draped tapestrie, etc. Everything is extremely well done with precision and excellent sense of color. Very similar in subject and quality to works by noted American artist Robert Blum, a specialist in Asian scenes.
Very fine original condition. Back of original mount board has some areas of visible age toning, but the watercolor is very fine. We have provided excellent hi-res photos so you can judge condition for yourself.
